TaZ

Wiktor Wojtas, 31 years Poland

TaZ is the legendary oldschool CS player from Poland and part of the Golden Five. His career started in 2003, when he picked up Counter-Strike 1.6. He started playing together with neo in 2004, and the players has been inseparable since then. TaZ played for Pentagram G-Shock, Meet Your Makers, Frag eXecutors, ESC Gaming and other teams. He is one of the founding members of the Golden Five, consisting of neo, TaZ, kuben, Loord and LUq (replaced by pasha in 2010). The squad earned its name and glory after winning all major CS 1.6 tournament they were invited to. The Golden Five won multiple ESWC, WCG and IEM tournaments. They are the only team in the history of eSports that managed to win WCG three times — in 2006, 2009 and 2011. TaZ and his colleagues faced multiple financial difficulties and were forced to play without a sponsor. When it happened, the team renamed to AGAiN and continued to play and win together. TaZ found it very hard to move to CS:GO. His team initially failed to show the performance they were expected to show. TaZ even thought of abandoning Counter-Strike at all and moving to League of Legends. However, after some roster changes the Golden Five returned to its glory and once again become one of the best CS teams in the world. TaZ has been playing for Virtus.pro since January 2014. Since then, he has solidified his status of a world-class professional and a real team leader. Wiktor keeps reminding us that all he and his team is fighting for is honour.
