Zhou

Chen Yao, 27 years China

Chen "Zhou" Yao is a retired professional Dota 2 player from China. Champion of The International 2012 (as iG player). Chen was signed by Invictus Gaming in August 2011, immediately becoming the team's captain. iG were constantly training at their bootcamp after receiving an invitation for TI2, and their efforts paid off greatly. Not only iG outperformed LGD, who were considered to be the strongest team on the tournament, but they also snatched the title of champions from Na`Vi! The team was very strong in the 2012-2013 season, but an ongoing quarrel between Zhou and ChuaN undermined iG's positions as the strongest team in China. After iG finished 5th-6th in TI3 and lost their World Champions status, Zhou decided to leave the team for good. Chen signed a contract with TongFu, but left the team in February 2014 due to lack of results. He announced his retirement from eSports. However, he played for an amateur team Old Boys, consisting of the veterans of Chinese scene. The team participated in i-League and several other events. Zhou was usually playing Carry heroes. His signature characters were Morphling, Lone Druid and Necrophos.
