Last week we reported that TNC Predator had withdrawn from ESL One Hamburg, with short notice. Finding a new SEA team to replace them in such short time can be hard but yesterday ESL announced that they had succeeded. EVOS Esports — 2nd place finishers in the SEA qualifiers — had secured their visas and will attend the tournament.
This is a huge opportunity for the relatively unknown Indonesian squad. The core of the team has been around for two years now but have never before made it to an international LAN. Expectations on the team is therefore very low. That being said, we've had plenty of underdog stories before in Dota and the team will surely prepare harder for Hamburg than ever before.
ESL One Hamburg begins Oct 23 and will run for that entire week, with the finals being played Oct 28. Even though it's not a DPC tournament, ESL has managed to attract plenty of top teams and some exciting new names. This is not something you'd want to miss.
