The group stage of ESL Pro League Season 6 has officially concluded, deciding two teams that secured direct passage into the semi-finals of the event. The first team to be decided was FaZe Clan, who demonstrated a flawless performance over the entirety of day two. The team kicked off with a 16-5 victory against Astralis on de_Mirage, followed by 16-12 de_Train and 16-7 de_Overpass victories against Luminosity Gaming and HellRaisers, respectively. With a 4-1 win/loss record and 13 points, FaZe Clan is the single best performing team from both groups.

Over in group B, the Brazilian roster of SK Gaming had a smasher of a day, securing three consecutive victories against Ninjas in PyjamasNRG Esports and Misfits. The Brazilians faced off with the IEM Oakland title holders on de_Overpass, landing a 16-9 win over the Ninjas. After a small break, SK played back-to-back matches against the North American reps, defeating NRG 16-9 on de_Cache, immediately followed by a 16-7 win against Sean "seang@res" Gares' Misfits on the very same map.

Below is a table containing final details of group stage standings:

Group A Group B
W/L Round diff.   W/L Round diff.
FaZe Clan 4-1 +25 SK Gaming 4-1 +30
HellRaisers 3-2 +16 OpTic Gaming 3-2 +14
Fnatic 4-1 +3 Misfits 3-2 0
Luminosity Gaming 2-3 +1 NRG Esports 2-3 -16
Astralis 1-4 -19 Ninjas in Pyjamas 1-3 -10
Team Liquid 1-4 -26 North 1-3 -18

As for the four teams to have made it into the quarter-finals, we saw HellRaisers and Fnatic cop spots in group A, whilst group B saw North American representatives make it through in OpTic Gaming and Misfits. Unfortunately for the home crowd neither of the Danish representatives made it out of groups, as Astralis and North ended up falling out of the race at a 1-4 and 1-3 win/loss record respectively. The only option for local representation now is to cheer on Danish In-Game Leader of FaZe Clan, Finn "karrigan" Andersen.
