Gambit Esports has made a return to the Dota 2 competitive scene by signing a newly-formed Russian roster that was previously known collectively as ferzee.

Here's Gambit's roster for the 2018/2019 season:

— Pos 1: Nikita "Daxak" Kuzmin
— Pos 2: Andrey "Afoninje" Afonin
— Pos 3: Vasily "AfterLife" Shishkin
— Pos 4: Rinat "KingR" Abdullin
— Pos 5: Ivan "VANSKOR" Skorokhod
— Coach: Anatolii "boo!k" Ivanov

Gambit first recruited a team to compete in Dota 2 in May 2017 when it acquired the roster of Thug Life. During the organisation's time in the title previously, it saw a number of underwhelming results and efforts that just fall short of qualifying for prominent events such as ESL One Birmingham 2018 and The International 2018.

Gambit entirely left Dota 2 on Jun. 27. Three of the five players that have now joined are actually no strangers to the organisation, having already represented Gambit in 2018. This includes Daxak and AfterLife - who were both dropped a few months ago - as well as VANSKOR who departed to join Double Dimension earlier in the year.

The former ferzee roster managed to qualify for the The Kuala Lumpur Major after finishing second in the CIS Qualifier, losing only to Virtus.pro in the playoffs. They defeated the likes of Natus Vincere, FTM.Winstrike, and Team Spirit to book their place in the first Major of the new season on Nov. 9-18.
