On Oct. 13, G2 Esports took down Flash Wolves in the group stage at League of Legends World Championship 2018. After the match, they were sitting in Group A with a record of 2:1. In an interview with Travis Gafford, Petter "Hjarnan" Freyschuss discussed the game, his approach to the tournament, and how confident he is about making it out of the current stage.
On whether he was intimated facing off against Flash Wolves
Not really, for me we shouldn't focus too much about who we face. We try to play our game and what we're strong at, if that doesn't work out then we have to adapt and change for the next works.
If it works, we should keep on doing it. We practiced this for two or three days now.
On making it out of groups
I'm pretty confident. I've been thinking the whole time throughout the tournament so far is just playing each game by each game. The last day we play three games in a row basically so anything can happen that day.
You can either go 0:3 or 3:0, anything can happen that day. You have to take one game by one game and not get too tilted if you lose the first one. Just bounce back for the second or the third because we're in a good position to actually make it out.
