One of North America's most seasoned IGLs, Damian "daps" Steele, is transitioning into a coaching role for NRG.

This is somewhat surprising as NRG, who are currently 7th in the EPL, right behind Team Liquid, are seen by many as an exciting, young team that needs an experienced IGL like daps. Daps has led a host of teams, from Liquid to OpTic, before finally settling in with NRG.

In his place, the team will try out Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce as their fifth. Although daps' declining fragging ability probably contributed to his exit from NRG, it's unclear who will take over his shotcalling responsibilities, although the most likely candidate would be Jacob "FugLy" Medina as he is now the most experienced member on the team. NRG's roster is now as follows:

The RIKO trial is off to a great start, as NRG went 3-0 in the North American Minor ELEAGUE qualifier today, keeping their hopes of making it to the 2018 ELEAGUE Major alive.
