WEGL 2017 Super Fight announced, ~$54,000 prize pool

Information has been revealed regarding the WEGL 2017 Super Fight, an event featuring three international teams and a single Korean team duking it out for a 52,000,000 KRW (~$47,000) prize purse. The teams will settle their differences on the weekend of Nov. 18-19 in Busan, South Korea. Participating teams include Chiefs eSports ClubTeam KinguinArdeont Academy and Vici Gaming

The 60,000,000 KRW (~$54,000) prize pool will be distributed as follows:

1st place - 30,000,000 KRW (~$27,000)
2nd place - 15,000,000 KRW  (~$13,000)
3-4th -places - 7,500,000 KRW (~$7,000)

Matches will see a single-elimination, best-of-3 format throughout the entirety of the event.

Regarding the schedule, the semi-finals will take place on Saturday, Nov. 18, whilst the Grand final will be broadcast on Sunday, Nov. 19. The event organisers have already announced initial pairings for the semis, found below:

Chiefs eSports Club vs. Ardeont Academy
Team Kinguin vs. Vici Gaming

Regarding the participants list, we have representatives of Australia, Korea, Poland and China. Chiefs recently managed to secure a placement at the IeSF World Championships 2017 after beating fellow Aussies, Kings Gaming Club. Ardeont Academy are a rather unknown representative of the Asian CS:GO scene, looking to impress at the event. Team Kinguin are a solid Polish roster, recently securing first at the ESL Clash of Nations 2017. Concluding the list of participants is prominent Chinese CS:GO roster, ViCi Gaming. The team secured second place at the China Top 2017 - Kunshan, falling in a best-of-3 series to CIS squad, Vega Squadron.
